Help Palestine [hidayahnet] Home Remedies For kidneys

Home Remedies For kidneys

The kidneys and the bladder play important roles in the body. The main function of the kidneys is to remove excess fluid and waste products from the body through the urine. They also regulate the body's potassium and sodium levels, as well as its pH balance, and produce hormones that affect other organs, including erythropoietin (which stimulates red blood cell production) and renin (which helps blood flow). Since the kidneys are such a vital body organ, any injury or disease that interferes with kidney function has the potential to be very serious. Kidney disease is actually a catch-all term that includes diseases ranging from kidney stones and urinary tract infections to more serious disorders such as glomerulonephritis and polycystic kidney disease. Although each kidney condition has its own unique characteristics, certain symptoms are associated with the majority of kidney problems.
These include a frequent urge to urinate, chills, fluid retention (puffiness in the face and limbs or resulting weight gain), back pain (felt just under the ribs), vomiting, fever, pain, nausea, loss of appetite, and a burning sensation during urination. The urine may be cloudy or bloody. Both kidneys are usually affected by any kidney disease. If the ability of the kidneys to filter blood is seriously damaged, excess fluid and wastes may build up in the body. This causes symptoms of kidney failure and severe swelling.
The bladder is a hollow organ with muscular walls that is part of the urinary tract. Urine continuously drains into the bladder from the kidney. In an adult, the bladder can hold about two cups of urine. As the bladder fills, it causes discomfort and, hence, the urge to urinate.
Bladder infections and inflammation can occur in any area of the bladder and servicing tissue. The most common bladder disorder, cystitis, is an infection or inflammation of the bladder. Symptoms of cystitis include a frequent urge to urinate (even though the bladder may be empty), excessive night urination, and dark or cloudy urine with an unpleasant or strong odor. Lower abdominal pain and a painful, burning sensation on urination may accompany the infection. There may be blood in the urine, and you may suffer chills, fever, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and back pain.
In addition to the herbs listed below, other beneficial herbs include barberry, bilberry, horsetail, marshmallow, sarsaparilla, and speedwell.

Help Palestine [hidayahnet] File - Reminder from Moderator

Reminder:

Assalamualaikum

1- The moderators will hide email of the senders to hidayahnet. As such, if you wish to include your email (maybe for others to reply to you), please include your email address in the body part of your email.

2- If you wish to promote your business, please only send no more than one mail per week and please combine all promotional emails in one email (rather than sending 3 or 4 emails promoting different products.

3- For those interested to reply to particular business advertisement, please email direct to the sender, and not to the egroup.

4- Be careful before promoting any external islamic links as it could be developed by non-muslim aiming to spread false teaching. If any doubt, please ask the moderator to help.

----------------------------------------------------------

If your mailbox clogged with mails from Hidayahnet, you may wish to change your membership settings as below:

Please note of the 3 ways in receiving email/messages:
- individual email
- daily digest (all messages combined in one single email per day)
- no email (receive no messages but still allow you to read the messages on the web)

The above settings can be changed by yourself or alternatively, you can email the moderator of your request.

----------------------------------------------------------

As a reminder for those sending our forwarding emails. To avoid those msg becoming junk and go unread, and becoming big in size unnecessarily, I would appreciate if sender put some effort in making it nicer and more attractive to reader. Some suggestions include:

- cut and paste the main message/content, (leaving behind the long thread/list of previous senders). However, pls include the source of message, usually the original sender (the first sender!) name (and if possible email and other details which deem important).

- pls also make sure that the "subject" of the email is not long winded, such as: [other group]fwd[other group]Prayer at the time of war ...etc. Please only put the topic of the msg, and delete the rest (eg, subject = Prayer at the time of war)

- also, usually we forget to remove the unnessary advert by yahoo and content from previous egroup (such as footnote) at the bottom of the email. Kindly remove them as they are irrelevant.

Hopefully the above, can make your email looks tidy and reduces the size significantly, and most importantly, I will have no objection in APPROVING them.

Above is only suggestion, and I welcome any other comments/suggestions.

Wassalam

Assalamu'alaykum..

Help Palestine [hidayahnet] Economical Rights to the Women

Economical Rights to the Women

Islam gave economical rights to the women 1,300 years before the West.

An adult Muslim woman can own, she can dispose or disown any of her property without consulting any one, irrespective whether she is married or she is single.

In 1870, it was the first time in England, that the West recognized the rights of the married woman, where she was allowed to own or dispose any of her property without consultation.

I do agree that the women were given their economical rights 1300 years ago - these are ancient rights - but the question is – 'are they modernizing or outdated?'

Women on Job:

A women in Islam, if she wishes to work she can work - There is no text in the Qur'an or the authentic Hadith which prevents or makes it prohibited for a woman to do any work, as long as it is not unlawful, as long as it is within the preview of the Islamic Shariah, as long as she maintains her Islamic dress code.

But natural, she cannot take up jobs, which exhibit her beauty and body - Like for example, modeling and film acting, and such kind of jobs.

Many of the professions and jobs which are prohibited for the woman are also prohibited for the man, for example serving alcohol, working in gambling dens, doing any unethical or dishonest business. All these jobs are prohibited for both men and women.

A true Islamic society requires women to take up profession such as doctors.

We do require female Gynecologists, we do require female nurses, we do require female teachers.

But, a woman in Islam has got no financial obligations - The financial obligation is laid on the shoulders of the man in the family - Therefore she need not work for her livelihood.

But in genuine cases, where there are financial crisis in which both the ends do not meet, she has the option of working.

Here too, no one can force her to work - She works out of her own, absolute free will.

Financial Security for Women:

A woman in Islam has been given more financial security, as compared to the man.

As I told you earlier, the financial obligation is not put on her shoulder - It is put on the shoulder of the man in the family. It is the duty of the father or the brother, before she is married and the duty of the husband or the son, after she is married to look after her lodging, boarding, clothing and financial aspects of her.

Compulsory Marital Gift for a Woman:

When she gets married, she is on the receiving end.

She receives a gift - she receives a dower or a marital gift, which is called as 'Meher'.

And it is mentioned in the Qur'an in Surah Nisa, Ch.4 Verse No.4 which says, 'Give to the woman in dower, a marital gift'.

For a marriage to solemnize in Islam, 'Meher' is compulsory.

But unfortunately in our Muslim society here, we just keep a nominal 'Meher' to satisfy the Qur'an, say 151 Rupees, or some people give 786 Rupees and they spend lakhs and lakhs of Rupees on the reception, on the decoration, on the flowers, on the lunch parties, on the dinner parties.

In Islam, there is no lower-limit, nor is there an upper limit for 'Meher' - But when a person can spend lakhs of Rupees on the reception, surely the 'Meher ' should be much more.

There are various cultures which have crept into the Muslim societies, specially in the Indo-Pak area.

They give a small amount of 'Meher' and they expect the wife to give a fridge, to give a T.V set, they expect the wife to give an apartment, to give a car, etc., and a large sum of dowry, depending upon the status of the husband.

If he is a graduate, they may expect 1 lakh - If he is an engineer they may expect 3 lakhs - If he is a doctor they may expect 5 lakhs.

Demanding dowry from the wife, directly or indirectly is prohibited in Islam.

If the parents of the girl give the girl something out of their own free will, it is accepted - But demanding or forcing directly or indirectly, it is prohibited in Islam.

No Financial Liabilities:

If a Woman works, which she does not have to - whatever earning she gets, it is absolutely her property.

She need not spend on the household - if she wants to spend it is her free will.

Irrespective how rich the wife is, it is the duty of the husband to give lodging, boarding, clothing and look after the financial aspects of the wife.

In case of divorce or if a wife gets widowed, she is given financial support for the period of 'Iddah' - and if she has children, she is also given child support.

Right to Inherit:

Islam gave the right to the women to inherit, centuries ago.

If you read the Qur'an - in several verses, in Surah Nisa, in Surah Baqarah and in Surah Maidah, it is mentioned that a woman, irrespective she is a wife or she is a mother, or a sister, or a daughter, she has a right to inherit. And it has been fixed by God Almighty in the Qur'an.

Help Palestine [hidayahnet] Home Remedies for Bed Sores

Home Remedies for Bed Sores

Known to doctors as decubitus ulcers, bed sores (or pressure sores) are the result of skin being suffocated beneath the weight of the body. These lesions are caused by continuous extended pressure on the skin, usually in an area over a prominent bone or cartilage structure such as the hips or tailbone.
This pressure restricts the flow of blood, and therefore the supply of oxygen and nutrients, to that part of the skin. Ultimately, the smaller blood vessels clot and a sore red patch of skin appears. If not attended to, it can crack open and develop into a painful wound.
The first sign of a developing pressure sore is reddening of the skin. There may be local swelling or hardening of the tissue as well. Eventually, if the pressure is not relieved, the skin breaks down and ulcerates, and infection may take hold. Obviously, people who are confined to bed for long periods are most at risk for this problem. Wheelchair users also have an increased risk of developing pressure sores.
An individual who suffers from impaired wound healing, common in older adults and people with diabetes, can develop bed sores rather quickly.
When it comes to bed sores, prevention is better than treatment. It is also necessary to rule out the possibility that another disorder might be mimicking a bedsore, especially if the sore appears to be spreading at an unusually fast rate. Herpes lesions, bacterially induced ulcers, and even skin cancers can look like bed sores, but require different treatment.
Home remedies for Bed Sores
Bed Sores Remedies #1: Vitamin C is an anti-inflammatory and is vital for the health of the skin and blood vessels. A study reported in the British Medical Journal found that bedridden patients with bedsores had significantly lower levels of vitamin C in their blood than did similar patients who were free of bedsores. Take 500 milligrams of vitamin C and an equal amount of bioflavonoids three times daily.
Bed Sores Remedies #2: Zinc supports the immune system and promotes wound healing. Take 15 milligrams three times daily. Take zinc with food to prevent stomach upset. If you take over 30 milligrams of zinc on a daily basis for more than one or two months, you should also take 1 to 2 milligrams of copper each day to maintain a proper mineral balance.
HERBAL TREATMENT FOR BED SORES
The following suggestions should be used only if the wound is closed. Open wounds should be attended to by a health-care practitioner.
Bed Sores Remedies #3: Aloe vera, applied topically in ointment, gel, or cream form, is effective in healing sores.
Bed Sores Remedies #4: Topical calendula cream is very soothing and healing to wounds. Use it as directed on the product label.
Bed Sores Remedies #5: Goldenseal is a natural antiseptic; vitamin E is healing and soothing to the skin. Make a paste by combining the contents of three 500-milligram capsules of goldenseal (or 1 teaspoon of goldenseal powder) and 800 international units of vitamin E (pierce capsules and squeeze out the oil). If the resulting mixture is too dry, add a few drops of olive oil. Apply this to the affected area three times daily.
